What We Do

Rebutting antisemitism and all forms of racism is at the core of our work. Through commemoration and memorialisation, we keep the lessons of history alive. We consider the importance of the Holocaust in the context of Genocide Studies, underlining its significance and contemporary resonance. Concerns regarding the rise of the alt-right prompt us to address and refute Holocaust denial and distortion.

  • We produce a number of hard copy and electronic resources for schools, including the Transition Year Module and Holocaust Studies for Senior Students. You can find more information on these resources and programmes here.

  • Each year, Holocaust Education Ireland provides schools with crocus bulbs to plant in autumn in memory of all of the children who died in the Holocaust. Participation is free and teachers are provided with a Teacher’s Handbook, which contains a comprehensive set of lesson plans and resources.
