Stolpersteine Ceremony

Holocaust Education Trust Ireland, in association with Dublin City Council, will unveil six Stolpersteine in memory of six Irish victims of the Holocaust. The below Stolpersteine will be embedded on 1 June 2022 at St. Catherine’s School, Donore Avenue, Dublin 8 by Gunter Demnig, the creator of the Stolpersteine memorial.

In Memoriam – Vera Gissing

Holocaust Education Trust Ireland was greatly saddened to learn of the death of Vera Gissing. Her story inspired hundreds of people learning about the Holocaust. We extend our deepest sympathy to Vera’s family. Rescued by ‘Britain’s Schindler’. Gissing escaped Czechoslovakia with sister Eva three months after Nazi occupation. Read about Vera’s life here.
