Teacher Education

Learning from the Holocaust, 31 October – 3 November 2017

This programme includes a four day study visit to Krakow and Auschwitz-Birkenau. It is supported by two separate seminar days: one in preparation for the study visit and one on reflection afterwards.

This programme can be taken independently or as part of the Certificate in Holocaust Education.

The study visit includes tours to:

Galicia Jewish Museum

Schindler’s Factory

Oswiecim Jewish Centre

The Jewish Ghetto

Plaszov Concentration Camp

Testimonies from Holocaust survivors and Polish Righteous Amongst the Nations.

Lecture delivered by a leading expert in Holocaust Education

Fee: TBC, inclusive of flights, hotels, seminars, lunches and tours

The speakers, the visits, the tours were all second to none.  Well done to HETI for a most absorbing, interesting and thought- provoking visit.

The seminars were impressive from the wholehearted participation of all the speakers – that element was invaluable. The human aspect, the individual stories and testimonies were staggering.

It was a privilege to meet survivors and one of the “Righteous Among the Nations”.  It was, in my opinion, a once in a life time opportunity.
